Birthday Palooza!

We started out the morning of July 9th with a day off of play with the boys. It was Grant's 6th birthday on that friday morning and their big party was that night. So we decided to spend some time with them before everyone else came to celebrate! We asked them what they wanted to do and of course they picked to go mini-golfing! The boys love to play and they seem to beat us every time! Not sure how that works! Next it was off to lunch, then home to rest a bit before some 50 people came over to help them celebrate their big days!

Look at the 2 pros out there! It turned out to be a gorgeous day about 86 and no one on the course! even better!

Stop for a quick shot!

In front of their favorite hole, with water of course!

I am going to split these posts up otherwise they will be just way too long. So this was our morning activities. No pictures from lunch, we went to space aliens though.

4th of July!

Our annual 4th of July Golf Cart parade at the lake! The boys look foward to this every year! We decorate the cart all up and drive around the campground with other golf carts and throw candy out! Here is our prize winning golf cart from this year! Grant is up front with me and Dylan is in the back with Jessica and Grace!

Here is the back view of our cart! Grace was almost asleep here!

Close up of some of our decorations! we had so much fun!

On to the fireworks show! Dylan never made it! He slept in the car right threw them. We parked about a few blocks away from MSUM to watch the fireworks so that Dylan could sleep still.

Grant and I in the front seat waiting for the show to start!

Beautiful! I absolutely love the 4th of July and fireworks!! Grant doesn't care so much for the loud ones and it's a good thing Dylan was sleeping as he doesn't either!

Tony Stewart Night at RRVS

My cousin Katie's boyfriend Dave races every Wednesday night out at the Speedway in West Fargo here in town. So she was kind enough to get tickets for all of us to come out to see Tony Stewart race amongst the town drivers. It was such a fun night and drew a huge crowd!!! Here he is in his #14 car!

me and Dylan enjoying the race. I was so glad the boys had these for their ears!! They never took their eyes off the track as you can see here! They wouldn't even eat the food we bought them!

Here is my mom and the boys standing and waiting for the next race to get started! It was a perfect night out there too!

They brought Tony up to the stands and he answered some questions and then did a drive by in the truck, it was so fun to see such a popular driver come up here to the Tundra to do a race for the fans! He is actually coming back already to race in the all star race. The guy in the truck with him is Donny Schaatz. He drives for Tony in the world of outlaw series and he and his dad own the track and that is how they got Tony to come here to drive! Nice to know someone huh!

Pre K Graduation

Well this was it, Grant's final Pre-K graduation. We chose to hold him back 1 year so he took his Pre-K class twice and was able to attend graduation twice because of it! This time it was difficult when I saw class of 2023 to think that was going to be the year he would finish High School. The kids put on such a great program for us and he had so much fun doing it!

This is Dylan and Grant with their teacher that helped out in both of their classes this year. Dylan will have Grant's teachers now for the next 2 years as well. We decided to hold him back as well with them both having July birthday's and I think giving them that extra year to mature is such a great thing, especially for boys! They sure need it!

Here is us with the new graduate, happy as can be!

In front of the school the boys will attend through 9th grade! Lots of years will be spent here!

Fargo Marathon 10K

Well it was that time of year again....The Fargo Marathon. Last year I signed up for my very first 5K and did fairly well and didn't mind the training as much as I thought I would. This year, my friends said, let's try the 10K instead this year. Double what we did last year. So in my head I'm thinking, okay 6.2 miles, it's doable. Instead of my regular 3 mile runs I would have to increase that to at least 5 mile runs if not 6 mile runs. Well little did I know we would move into a new house 2 weeks before the Marathon, not a good idea .... Little to no training for the 3 weeks prior to the run! Oh well, what could I do about it at that point, but just run!

Here is me, Karlye and Katie going out of the dome heading to the start line..Weather this year wasn't as nearly as cold as it was last year, but it did rain the entire race! Dont' ya just love our matching shirts, we didn't want people to miss us. They say RUN LIKE HELL!

On the course about mile 3, still doing okay, just soaking wet and not looking very attractive, good thing I didn't wear White huh!

Coming in for the big finish...at this point I was ready to be done. My shoelace came untied with about .5 to go, but I wasn't about to stop to tie it. Coming in was such an amazing feeling again! Never gets old coming to the end and feeling like you have accomplished something you never thought you could!

Face is a little red, but I didn't care! I was happy to cross that line in just over 1 hour! 1 hour to be exact and 55 seconds! My goal was 1 hour, so not too bad.

AHH done! Katie coming in right behind me! We lost Karlye at some point when she stopped to get water and we kept going. Sorry Karlye!

I cannot wait for next year's race and who knows what I will do next year! I am planning on running a few 5 and 10K runs this summer to keep in the running mode and there is 2 half marathons this fall I may try out...Only time will tell!

Target Field!

Ahhh, one of best days...Outdoor baseball! Finally! We were lucky enough to attend the 2nd game at Target Field. The boys were soooo excited to go! What a stadium! Perfect day in early April, 70 plus degrees!
Entering the field at of course, Gate 34! boys have their Twins backpacks on and ready to go!

Household name at our house! JUSTIN!!

We were walking around the concourse and happen to see the FSN crew doing their show. Grant recognized them right away. Anthony and Coomer! They were having a good time!

What a great looking field! We were 3 rows from the top but it didn't matter, there isn't a bad seat in that stadium!

Boys in their seats and ready to go!

This is pretty much how the boys watched the entire game...through binocs! We even had to buy another set so they each had their own! Not sure why they felt the need to have them the entire game, but it worked!

AHHH the PLAZA! Here is KIRBY! What a great player!~

I love this picture, shows just how big that Gold Glove really is! The boys look like ants!

After game WIN! What a great game it was!

We are so looking forward to our next game and the next.... Good thing we don't live closer as I think most of our money would be going into that Stadium! GO TWINS!

Easter...finally

Okay, so I know I am way behind but I will try and catch up a bit!

All the grandkids with Grandma and Grandpa Anderson!

The boys outside for the big Egg hunt! Love when we have great weather for this so they can be outside running around!

Grant finding some more eggs!

Family picture on Easter! Of course can't get Dylan to look directly at the camera! Oh well, it was a good attempt!

Our church held an Easter Egg hunt and Easter themed party. The kids had so much fun making crafts and finding more eggs of course! They were showing each other all the candy they got!

Here are a few of their favorite friends and cousin of course! Jada, Ellie, Brady, boys, Kai, & Bria. Ella was still finding more eggs!

now it's time to eat!

We had a great Easter as we do every year! The older the kids get, the way more fun it is to be parents to watch them enjoy each Holiday!
